Kick off Arlington's "Beach on the Pike Day" with a beach-themed fun ride designed to raise awareness of and proceeds for Greenbrier Learning Center. (All proceeds go to GreenBriar.) Appropriate for all skill levels. Beach, Aloha, and pirate wear encouraged!

We urge riders to register and donate in advance.

Riders receive a complimentary lei and discount coupons from participating Columbia Pike businesses.

Check-in/registration is in Penrose Square (2501 Columbia Pike), starting at 9:30 am. There are three registration options. You may register to ride and make a donation (suggested: $20); register to ride for free for awareness; or sponsor a rider (or make a general donation). (If you sponsor a rider, you will be asked to enter the rider's name.)

CHECK-IN (required): 9:30 am - 10:00 am at Penrose Square, 2501 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA 22204 (intersection of Columbia Pike & S Barton St)

BIKE RIDE: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Papillon Cycles will lead the ride. After we leave Penrose Square we'll ride on streets to the W&OD Trail. Then we'll head west, at a casual pace--before turning around and heading back.

Riders may choose one of two distances: either 12 miles, or 5 miles

Riders must be registered and checked in in advance of the 10:00 am pre-ride briefing that covers safety and rules of the road and trails, and provide their own bicycles and bring and wear a helmet during the ride.
