What: Strategically located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, Harpers Ferry played key roles leading up to and during the Civil War. We’ll explore this history while looking for spring migrants and other birds as we visit the town and walk along the two rivers. This trip entails significant walking over mostly level ground.
