ART

Arlington Transit, or ART, is Arlington's local bus system. ART supplements the regional Metro system by providing service to neighborhoods not served by Metrobus, and increasing the frequency of bus service in other neighborhoods. ART operates smaller, neighborhood-friendly vehicles, and provides access to Metrorail and Virginia Railway Express (VRE). ART is environmentally friendly, operating on clean-burning compressed natural gas (CNG). All ART buses are fully ADA accessible with wheelchair lifts or ramps and priority seating.
