Event Details

The Crystal City Diamond Derby is a unique cycling event that combines speed, glamour, fashion and high-energy fun in a cool urban environment. Riders of all abilities are invited to test their skills on a race course designed and built in the center of an underground parking garage. The Crystal City Diamond Derby features a variety of different race formats including a non-competitive open course ride, a head-to-head speed race, a courier-inspired scavenger hunt, team relays, and a special children’s course. The general public is also invited to try out the course or just watch the action from the chic confines of the Diamond Lounge, an art gallery and bar built in the center of the action. The River Ride, a non-competitive social ride originating in DC, adds a social component and a ready audience for the day’s activities. Diamond Derby runs from 2:00 - 8:00 pm.
