Old Glebe Walkabout

Where:  Meet at Madison Community Center (Stafford Street entrance), 3829 N. Stafford Street, Arlington
Who:  Open to the public, all ages (dogs too!). Hosts include Arlington County's Office of Historic Preservation, the Old Glebe Civic Association and WalkArlington
Fee:  FREE of charge, registration not required.

What: Join WalkArlington as we debut our Walkabout through Arlington’s Old Glebe neighborhood and offer a sneak preview of new interpretive features at Fort Ethan Allen showcasing Arlington's role in Civil War history. Starting at Madison Community Center, this guided walking tour explores ten stops and nearly two miles of neighborhood highlights, from the interpretive exhibits now being installed at Fort Ethan Allen to the historic crossroads of Military Road and Chain Bridge, from the well-trodden trails of Gulf Branch Nature Center to the peaceful grounds of Walker Chapel. Free of charge and open to all ages, WalkArlington’s Old Glebe Walkabout is co-hosted by the Arlington County Office of Historic Preservation and the Old Glebe Civic Association, along with residents who helped develop the route.
