Metrorail:

  • FREE ART Shuttles to the County Fair
    August 13-17, 2025, ART will be running FREE shuttles to the County fair. Shuttles will run every 10 minutes from the Ballston Mall Parking Garage (627 N Glebe Rd). Schedule of operation will start a half hour before the fair opens to a half hour after it closes.
  • Columbia Pike Multimodal Project, Segment C - Bus Stop Relocation
    Due to traffic pattern changes from the Columbia Pike Multimodal Project, beginning today, August 4, 2025, Bus Stop Regional ID 6000263 will return to the southwest corner of Columbia Pike and S Scott. In front of the Wellington Apts.
  • Military Rd/Custis Project - ART 56 Impact
    Beginning Monday, June 30, 2025, the northbound bus stop at Military Rd/25th Rd N (Stop Id# 6001028) will relocate approximately 120ft. south for approximately four months due to construction activity at the roundabout. Bus service may experience delays.

  • VRE News: New Train Talk Alert System - If you are receiving this message, we wanted to let you know that this version of our Train Talk system is being discontinued effective December 2025. If you wish to continue to receive VRE Train Talk notices regarding train status, news or delay notifications, our new alert platform is now available for sign up. *For those passengers who currently buy tickets through the mobile app: Step 1 – Sign in through our online portal at tickets.vre.org. Step 2 – From the “Account Home” tab, under “Account Info” select “Edit” and choose your Notification Delivery Method. You may choose email, text, or both. Then click “Update Account Info.” Step 3 – From the list on the left, select “Notification Topics.” You may choose “General VRE Information” to receive basic news items and information on holidays and special events. You may also select “Fredericksburg Line” or “Manassas Line” or both to receive service information related to your commute. Then click “Submit”. You are now properly registered to receive Train Talk alerts. *For those passengers who currently buy paper tickets: Like the old Train Talk platform you will need to create an account in order to select your alert preferences. Step 1 – Create an account through our online portal at tickets.vre.org. Step 2 – From the “Account Home” tab, under “Account Info” select “Edit” and choose your Notification Delivery Method.
